天使的对话 (1985)

This film is the archtypal Jarman movie. Jarman considered himself a painter more than a film maker and thought of the camera as just an improvement on the brushes of the past. In this film he carries those concepts through to their fullest conclusion.The moody Voice-overs of Shakespeare sonnets by Dame Judy Dench add to the multi-layered portraits of two young men and their relationship. Jarman was going for a mood here and the narrative line is pretty sketchy but if you ever wondered what would happen if one of those Calvin Klein Obsession adverts were stretched to 80 minutes by a really talented film maker then this is the film for you.Without a strong narrative line this film may move too slowly for many and you are hereby cautioned. There were several folks noticeably snoring during the screening that I attended but those that are Jarman fans would not miss it.It also occurred to me that given the very light story line that this might be a great background film to have playing amid a gathering of friends where the entire focus of the group was not on the film. EE-D9《天使对话》BFI收藏版。德里克.贾曼，看他的名字，就能感觉到他的映像风格，来去无非那几个形容词。先锋、意识流、新浪潮、哲学、飘渺、通知、迷幻。。。够了。贾曼的片子基本看全了。这一部很典型，有英国味道的先锋作品。质感粗糙的画面，顿挫感的慢动作，莎士比亚的诗，配上前卫的Ambient音乐。当然，还少不了模特般的男同性恋你的本质是什么？西西弗斯的影子。火焰。水雾。河流。花园。海螺。不要在暴风雨后来个雨潮。天使嬉戏拥吻。我的眼睛闭得最紧，看得最明亮。它们整天只看见无味的东西，而当我入睡，梦中却向你凝望。幽暗的火焰，暗地里放射幽辉。闪耀在时光里的诗篇，直到这世界消耗完的末日，突破死亡和淹没一切的仇恨有时候贾曼的电影过于形式主义装逼的让我暴躁不安。但这些诗歌极好得描述了一个人爱情的公式。画面已经是近乎逼仄的了，跳帧，非常不流畅。我爱贾曼，但还是无法接受这种形式的电影，blue那种倒是我很喜欢的形式，简单、直击心灵。这个抽帧看得太痛苦了，即使是优美的诗也会变得嘈杂、无味。 （听说这是专门给H.B拍的，真爱啊！）又是这个人，上回他的《蓝》把我折磨的不轻。这回变本加厉。管弦配乐可以，旁边插叙也好。这个影像艺术我是get不到，实验性画面要整成PPT也不能理解。不过有画面了，到还看得出对男性肉体美的倾慕与注视。有点。。。可怕。。。久闻贾曼大名，但这是我看过的电影里最晦涩的，可能以后也不会有电影超过它了……（当然和这个极其模糊的版本也有些关系）比疙瘩的 再见语言 还不知道在说些什么，可能我要读些莎士比亚了?听PSB的时候突然想起了Derek Jarman，小时候虽然看了他几乎所有比较“著名”的电影，但并不是很喜欢因为觉得隐喻太多仪式感太重且太沉重，今天又看了一遍这一部，印象有所改变，还挺喜欢的是神，为何负罪？是人，为何永传？是光明，为何模糊？是黑暗，为何耀眼？是美，为何清洗，是丑，为何沉湎？是爱，为何争斗？是恨，为何缠绵？3.5德里克贾曼，去努力理解发现用力过猛，对一帧帧放慢到卡顿又没逻辑的画面，石头，水，男体，火，光，花朵，人像与花园的叠化，观看节奏被掌握，又不允许你游离，要么关闭，要么躺平，彻底交出主动权，一点儿
